Description
Story:
A long time ago, humans flew to a planet called Stratosphere in search of a new home. After a tumultuous history, the humans and the residents of the planet became friends. However, one night, the humans disappeared. 50 years pass, and the humans are all but forgotten about. Until...
One day, two humans - a child and a teen - awake in the middle of the forest, with their memories gone. This is where our story begins.
Stratospiel is your quest to discover the truth and solve the mystery. With an emphasis on characters, humor, and frantic fast-paced battles, Stratospiel is the mystery RPG where nothing is as it seems!
Gameplay:
The game is divided into two major sections: overworld and battle.
In the overworld, you will explore, talk to various NPCs (often more than once!), and interact with the environment to solve simple puzzles.
In battle, you will encounter various unique enemies. As they attack you, you can dodge their attacks by rolling out of the way, deflecting with a frying pan, and other methods to be seen in the full release.
While attacking them, you can boost your attack through various means, such as button timing or mashing. Defeat an enemy to increase your ATK. Be careful, though. Each enemy is unique: once you kill them, they're gone for good. No EXP farming happening here.
Conversely, you can also defend yourself by talking to each enemy, and helping them work through their struggles. Cook with a bat-chef, help a tiger-dad through a midlife crisis, and help a rapper make a song, each in a WarioWare-style microgame. Befriend an enemy to boost your DEF.
Depending on the choices you make, the story molds around them, affecting the tone and the story.
