When?
I'm currently aiming for a Fall 2025 release. If I'm finished before then, great! If not, then I'll give myself a up to a year to finish. If I'm not done at that point, then I'll either release it in chapters, or delay further until I'm completely done - it all depends on how far I am.
Length?
The demo is 2-3 hours. The full game will be around 8-9 hours.
I'm stuck?
Check out the StrategyWiki. If there isn't one... then it looks like you'll just have to keep trying. I believe in you!
Development updates?
Check out the links at the bottom of the page. I'll post updates to the relevant Twitter, Tumblr, or YouTube. Any other social media claiming to be associated with Stratospiel is FAKE! NOT REAL!!!
Consoles?
It depends. I'd love to get Stratospiel on as many platforms as possible, however, that costs time and money. If Stratospiel is successful enough on PC to cover all the necessary costs, then yes, I will.
Localization?
Same as above. Aside from some mediocre Spanish, I only speak English. If an official localization comes out, I'll be sure to announce it. I support any and all fan translations, though!
How can I support development?
Donate to the Kickstarter page, buy the soundtrack, and spread the word!
Tech Support
My Mac is telling me the game is damaged and needs to be thrown in the trash?
Don't throw it away! Follow these instructions here. This is because Mac and non-appstore games have a troubled relationship and should probably separate but they don't want to because of their egos and they don't want to make things hard for the kids plus they have a joint bank account and it would just be a whole thing...
External controllers?
As of now, the only external controllers that are supported are Xbox and Dualshocks.
It is currently recommended you play using your keyboard, as I'm still testing support for external controllers.
Where's my save data?
Windows:
Open File Explorer
→Hard drive (usually called Windows C:)
→Users
→User folder (should be the same name as your login)
→AppData (you may need to enable hidden files and folders - you can do this in "options")
→Local
→Stratospiel
Mac:
Open Finder
→Hard drive (usually called Macintosh HD)
→Users
→User folder (should be the same name as your login)
→Library (you may need to enable show library folder)
→Application Support
→Stratospiel
Be careful! Modifying your save data may cause the game to behave strangely.
KNOWN BUGS (currently trying to get these fixed!):
I got hit on the head by a boulder and nothing's happening!
Unfortunately, you'll have to restart the game. Block the boulder using the space bar.
I'm hitting a silver tree with my pan and nothing's happening!
Leave the room and re-enter, and this should fix it.
I rolled into the vase but I popped out?
Stand a little farther away and try rolling into it again.
I got a game over and the ground I'm re-treading is weird/music's not playing/characters aren't there/events aren't happening
Close the game and reload your save. Let me know what area this happened in, what enemy game you a game over, and what save point you respawned at.
I'm softlocked/game is frozen/game crashed/something obviously not intended to happen happened?
Take a screenshot (if you can), and send it to stratospiel at gmail dot com, along with what you did and what happened, and I'll try my best to patch it up. If the game gives an error message, include that in the email.
If you need to close the game but can't access the pause menu, you can hold the escape key for a few seconds and it will close.

Graphics: MS Paint (I'm not sure what the artists use so you'll have to ask them)
